President Biden is extending the student loan repayment freeze until January 31, 2022. The freeze was scheduled to end September 30, 2021 until this afternoon's announcement. Starting February 1st, over 43 million accounts will resume payments at the same time. Loan servicers are notoriously poor at customer service even in the best of circumstances.
