Odyssey’s 14th Annual Holiday Outreach in support of Meals on Wheels, Senior Services North Fulton
Making a Difference
Odyssey Personal Financial Advisors organized their 14th Annual Holiday Outreach, and in partnership with their generous clients, they were able to provide personal care products and financial donations totaling $3,495 in support of Meals on Wheels for Senior Services North Fulton.
In addition, the outreach netted volunteers and 50 quarter-pound hams from the kind people at The Honey Baked Ham Company, as employees of the company volunteered to help deliver the special holiday treats to the customers of Meals on Wheels.
Heather Terry, Community Relations Director for Senior Services North Fulton, said “We thank Odyssey and HoneyBaked for their generosity – this means the world to us!”
There is a tremendous need right here in north Fulton county. One in six seniors is unable to afford or unable to prepare their own meals. Senior isolation and hunger are huge issues with an aging population. Meals on Wheels is a great organization helping these impoverished seniors maintain independent living. The regular nutritious meals, friendly visits and safety checks help them overcome hunger and isolation.
Robert Fezza and Steve Siders, partners of Odyssey, shared “We were excited to help contribute toward the feeding of local seniors in need through Meal on Wheels. For many seniors this food delivery is their only human contact for the day and assisting with the delivery of meals was an honor this year.”
Odyssey is humbled by the partnership their clients have shown for their Annual Holiday Outreach as the cumulative combined giving over the last 14 years exceeds $35,000.
